We often work with the surgeon to follow any specific protocols and ensure good communication on your progress.

Generally, in the initial stages immediately after surgery we work to control swelling, pain and promote gentle range of motion. As you progress further, we work to restore your full range of motion and start gentle strengthening exercises. Lastly, we work to achieve to restore full strength and return to regular activities, sport or work.

We can instruct you and provide education regarding your sling or walking aid such as crutches, cane or walker.
